Trump ready to help India and Pakistan resolve tensions

US President Donald Trump is ready to assist the leadership of India and Pakistan in resolving the current tensions between the two countries, which have been accompanied by the use of military force, the American leader told journalists at the White House, Report informs via TASS.

"I want them to stop. I hope they can stop now. They have been acting on the principle of 'blood for blood' and I hope they can stop now... And if I can do something to help, I will be there," Trump said while commenting on the sharp deterioration in relations between New Delhi and Islamabad.

"This is terrible. I get along with both of them. I know both of them very well, and I want them to resolve this," the President added.

On May 6, India launched missile strikes on Pakistani territories, including Azad Kashmir. Islamabad has announced that 6 civilian facilities were damaged and 26 people were killed as a result of India's attacks.
