Trump: India and Pakistan have agreed full ceasefire

US President Donald Trump has announced a full and immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan with a post on his social media network, Report informs.

Trump said: “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar, in turn, confirmed the information about the ceasefire with India.

"Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity!" he wrote on X.

India, for its part, also confirmed the ceasefire with Pakistan. 

The ceasefire between India and Pakistan was agreed upon directly between the two countries, Delhi stressed.
