The pace at which the coronavirus infection spreads in the world is growing for the third week in a row.
According to Report, the World Health Organization said the COVID-19 incidence is growing in at least 110 countries globally. Against this background, the authorities of several countries are returning to anti-COVID restrictions, including the mask regime.
The mandatory mask-wearing regime in public places for all persons over 12 years of age, which was lifted on May 31, is resuming from July 8 in the Republic of Cyprus.
The same decision was made by Qatar's authorities, which report about 700 cases per day, twice as many as at the outset of June.
The situation is approximately the same in Pakistan, which now reported around 800 new cases per day against less than 100 cases in early June. From June 28, passengers on domestic flights will again be required to wear masks.
