Syrian president meets with American senators in Damascus

Ahmad Al-Sharaa, Transitional President of the Syrian Arab Republic, is meeting with a delegation from the US House of Representatives and Senate in Damascus, Report informs via Syria’s official news agency SANA

The meeting is also attended by Syria's Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and Interior Minister Anas Khattab.

The agency did not disclose other details of the meeting. However, it should be noted that this is the first visit of US lawmakers to Syria since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December last year.
