Shmyhal: Ukraine signs multi-million contracts for production of interceptor drones

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine currently has four contracts for the production of interceptor drones, three of which were signed recently, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said, according to Report.

He stated that the total value of the contracts exceeds 3 billion UAH (approximately $72.09 million).

“Yesterday, three manufacturers received state contracts. In total, we already have four contracts worth over 3 billion UAH. We will continue to scale up these technologies,” he said.

Shmyhal emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is negotiating with partners, whose names were not disclosed, to attract funding for the procurement of interceptor drones.

“Initial agreements have been reached. This week, we also held discussions with major state-owned banks regarding loans to manufacturers under state guarantees,” he concluded.
