SCO summit opens in Tianjin with focus on security and cooperation

The meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has begun in the Chinese city of Tianjin.
According to Report, Chinese President Xi Jinping opened the session with a welcome speech.
The summit will feature the presentation of the SCO Universal Center for Countering Security Threats and Challenges and the SCO Anti-Drug Center.
In addition, several documents are expected to be signed, including the Tianjin Declaration and the SCO Development Strategy through 2035.
