Scholz plans to visit China on April 15-16

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz intends to visit China on April 15-16, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, Report informs referring to TASS.

A business delegation will accompany him on the trip.

This will be Scholz’s first trip to China since the lifting of strict coronavirus restrictions and the publication of the German government’s strategy for building relations with China, which was met with criticism in Beijing.

Last time the chancellor was in China in early November 2022 and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
