Ryzhenkov: Iranian president to visit Belarus in late June

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov has announced an official visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Minsk as he met with students at MGIMO University in Moscow on 10 June, BelTA has learned, Report informs.
“An official visit of the Iranian president will take place as part of the upcoming meeting of the EAEU Supreme Economic Council on 26-27 June. He will take part in the EAEU event and its economic forum. It will be combined with his official visit,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said.
According to him, Iran is one of the important priorities for Belarus. “This is not only in terms of trade and economic relations. We are on the same wavelength in regard to many international issues. This state is of great importance to us in terms of logistics, shipment of our goods. We are closely following the development of the North-South International Corridor through Iran, because we hope it will increase our opportunities in shipping our goods both to India and Southeast Asia,” the minister added.
