Russian-American expert consultations in Riyadh are ongoing, and they are described as "creative" and in full swing, with interesting discussions on pressing issues, Report informs via Interfax.
Grigory Karasin, a member of the Russian delegation and head of the Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs, stated that not every negotiation necessarily ends with large-scale documents and agreements.
"The key is to maintain contact and understand each other's viewpoints, and we are succeeding in that," Karasin said in response to a question about the potential for agreements.
Alongside Karasin, Sergei Beseda, an advisor to the Director of the FSB, is also participating in the expert talks from the Russian side.
Currently, a break has been declared in the Russian-American talks, which began at 11:00 Baku time.
