Russia congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful organization of early parliamentary elections, Report informs, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"According to the assessments of the CIS and SCO monitoring missions, the elections were recognized as transparent, credible and democratic, organized in accordance with the requirements of national legislation. No facts of gross violation of citizens' electoral rights were recorded by the observers sent by Russia through the OSCE ODIHR.

The ministry noted that they count on the continuation of close and constructive cooperation between the new convocation of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which aligns with the allied relations between the two countries.
Azerbaijan held snap parliamentary elections on September 1.
