Qatari PM: Gaza talks in Doha have not yielded any results yet

Several rounds of consultations held in Doha between Hamas and Israel on the settlement of the Gaza conflict have not led to any convergence of the parties' positions, Qatari Prime Minsiter Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said, Report informs via TASS.

"The rounds of talks held in Doha over the past few weeks have, unfortunately, not yielded any results yet," Al Thani said at the Qatar Economic Forum.

According to the Qatari PM, one side [HAMAS] is trying to reach a partial deal that could lead to a comprehensive agreement, while the other side [Israel] intends to reach a one-time deal to end the war and release all hostages.

According to Al Thani, if Israel expands its operation in the Gaza Strip, it will lead to more casualties among both Palestinians and hostages remaining in the enclave, as well as delay the diplomatic end to the war.
