President of Portugal arrives in Moldova on two-day visit

Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on October 30-31 at the invitation of the country's President Maia Sandu, Report informs via the Moldovan media.

Upon arrival in Chisinau, the President of Portugal will be greeted with military honors, after which he will meet with Sandu and members of the delegations. The two heads of state will then hold a joint press conference.

The Portuguese leader will lay flowers at the monument to Stephen the Great.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa is also going to have meetings with the President of Parliament Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

On Tuesday, President Rebelo de Sousa will hold discussions with students of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of the Moldova State University.

Sandu and her Portuguese colleague will take part in a forum organized by the Investment Agency. On the sidelines of the event, a ceremony will be held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between investment agencies of both countries.
