Police find homemade bomb in Graz school attacker's home

Austrian police found an improvised explosive device (IED) during a search of the home of the shooter at the Graz gymnasium, the Heute newspaper wrote, citing sources in the police, Report informs via TASS.

The IED made by 21-year-old resident of the suburb of Graz, Artur A., ​​turned out to be "non-functional". Shortly before the shooting, the criminal recorded a farewell video in his parents' house, where he lived, addressed to his mother, in which he said that he had made the decision to attack "of his own free will."

The shooter's mother received the video 24 minutes after it was sent, after which she immediately contacted the police, but by that time, her son had already shot people at the school.

Austria declared three days of national mourning in connection with the shooting, which resulted in the deaths of 10 people.
