Poland receives first Turkish Bayraktar drones

Poland received the first six Bayraktar drones from Turkiye, they are stationed at the Air Force base in Miroslavets (West Pomeranian Voivodeship), Report informs, referring to Interfax.
"We have begun the process of equipping our military units with Bayraktar. This is an important stage in the process of modernization of the Polish Army," country's Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said.
According to media reports, in accordance with the agreement, Poland should receive 24 Bayraktar TV2 drones by the end of 2024. The Turkish side undertook to provide ground support, supply of spare parts, necessary diagnostics, as well as training of Polish operators. The total amount of the contract is $270 million.
