Poland plans to increase number of troops to 230,000

The number of military personnel in the Polish army will reach 230,000 in 2025, Minister of National Defence Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz announced, Report informs.
"The number of military personnel in the army will be increased. By the end of the year, the army should have approximately 230,000 soldiers, including more than 150,000 professional military personnel. We are simplifying the process of admission to military service and military academies," the minister noted.
According to data as of January 1, 2025, the Polish army consists of 206,000 military personnel, including 144,000 professional army.
