Europe should ensure coordination with the US authorities on pressuring Russia to end the war in Ukraine soon, Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo told journalists in Albania before the European Political Community meeting, Report informs.
Orpo highlighted the importance of the talks planned between Russia and Ukraine today in Istanbul.
"While we are in Tirana today, we need to send a strong and unified message - Europe supports Ukraine. I think Europe has acted decisively. We need a ceasefire, peace talks, and sustainable peace. Europe must be ready to take decisive steps, implement new sanctions, and provide more support to Ukraine.
That is my main message today. But sanctions are not enough, we must work together with the US. Along with sanctions, we need strong cooperation and coordination," he noted.
