Plane crashes near Lithuanian-Russian border, pilot dies

A light aircraft crashed in the Jurbarkas district of Lithuania, bordering the Russian Federation, on Saturday, Report informs, citing the Lithuanian Police Department.
"The accident occurred in the vicinity of the village of Naukaimis. Local residents who rushed to the crash site pulled out the body of a 58-year-old amateur pilot without signs of life from the rubble," the department said.
The police are investigating the cause of the crash.
