Pentagon: US eyes allocating $34.4B for nuclear weapons in 2023

The US administration expects to allocate $34.4 billion for its nuclear arsenal in fiscal year 2023, US First Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks said at a press briefing on March 28, Report informs referring to TASS.
The US budget request is investing $34.4 billion to recapitalize the nuclear triad, support command and control systems and communications in the nuclear force, she said.
The new fiscal year begins in the US on October 1.
