Pakistani security forces claim ISIS involvement in 45-death attack

ISIS militants were involved in a suicide bombing on Sunday in the Bajaur district of northwestern Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Report informs via TASS.

"There is no doubt about the involvement of ISIS in this crime," a spokesman for the Pakistani intelligence services told the Dawn newspaper.

On July 30, a suicide bomber carried out an explosion at a congress of the Assembly of Islamic Scholars party, which is part of the ruling coalition. There were 400 people in the hall where the congress was held. At least 45 people were killed and about 150 others were injured. The general secretary of the party, Khar Ziaullah, was killed in the attack.

A state of emergency has been declared in Bajaur. Hospitals in the provincial capital, Peshawar, have been put on high alert. Many of the wounded are in critical condition.
