One person dies in 16-car road accident in Germany

At least one person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash involving 15 cars and a truck in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, initially caused by heavy hail, the local police said, Report informs via the DPA agency.
According to police, the accident occurred late Friday evening on the A31 highway near the town of Borken near the Dutch border. The cause of the accident was extreme weather conditions caused by heavy hail, but the circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined by the police.
One person died in the accident and another was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
