A fire in a 12-story apartment building in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, led to the evacuation of over 70 residents, according to Miroslav Gerasimovich, a representative from the Fire and Rescue Department under the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Report informs via TASS.
Gerasimovich mentioned that the fire began in an apartment on the 11th floor.
"Firefighters responded promptly and evacuated 76 people from the building," Gerasimovich stated.
The incident resulted in nine individuals seeking medical assistance. Six fire brigades were deployed to combat the blaze, which was successfully extinguished.
