Moldovan foreign minister to discuss country's EU accession in Paris, Valetta

Deepening the bilateral dialogue, discussing the European agenda and intensifying the process of Moldova's EU accession were the goals of the visit of Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicolae Popescu to Paris (France) and Valletta (Malta), Report informs via Moldovan media.

The visits are scheduled for June 13-16. The first destination will be France, here on Tuesday the head of the Moldovan diplomacy will meet with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna, Chairman of the Commission for European Affairs Jean-Francois Rapin and other French officials and heads of international organizations.

At the end of the day, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Paris, Popescu will talk with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora. At the same time, he will deliver speech at a conference on Moldovan-French relations.

Then he will visit Malta. This is Popescu's first visit to this country. As part of the visit, he is scheduled to meet with Minister for Foreign, European Affairs and Trade Jan Borg, as well as with several officials of the Maltese government and parliament.
