Media: Iran appeals to US to influence Israel and stop strikes

Tehran is attempting to reach out to Washington through intermediaries in an effort to stop Israeli strikes, The Jerusalem Post said citing sources, according to Report.

"Iran, through Oman and Qatar, has sought Washington's mediation in attempts to halt Israeli strikes and resume nuclear deal negotiations," the publication notes.

In addition, according to the newspaper’s sources, Saudi Arabia is also quietly making efforts to achieve a ceasefire and resume talks.

As a reminder, Israel carried out strikes on Iran on Saturday night. Iran responded to those strikes. The confrontation continues.
