Man arrested in Austria for attempting to hijack train

A 37-year-old Romanian attempted to steal a parked train at the St. Valentin station in Austria, causing significant damage, Report informs referring to Informat.ro.
The man entered the train using an emergency hammer and broke the windows in the engineer's cabin, activating the siren and lights, but he failed to start the locomotive due to a lack of technical knowledge.
The police were alerted by the Austrian Federal Railways, and upon the arrival of law enforcement, the Romanian behaved violently, attacking a policewoman and causing her injuries.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and the man was arrested and transferred to a correctional center in St. Pölten.
