Magnitude 6.7 earthquake recorded east of Kuril Islands

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 was recorded east of the Kuril Islands.
According to Report, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicenter was located 388 km south of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Russia) at a depth of 10 km.
Another earthquake with a magnitude of 5 was subsequently recorded on the eastern coast of Kamchatka, 155 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
It should be noted that on Wednesday, the strongest earthquake since 1952 occurred near Kamchatka, with a magnitude of 8.8. The intensity of the tremors ranged from six and above on the scale.
A tsunami warning was issued.
