Magnitude 5.8 earthquake hits Vanuatu coast

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was recorded off the coast of Vanuatu, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said, Report informs via TASS.
The epicenter was located 99 km west of the town of Sola with a population of about 1,000. The source was at a depth of 42 km.
There were no reports of a tsunami threat.
