The Government of Luxembourg has officially increased its contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to 12 million euros, with an additional 10 million euros already received and fully available in the Fund’s special account, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry said in a statement, Report informs.
"This renewed support is tangible evidence of international unity and Luxembourg's solidarity with Ukraine, coming at an important time as Ukraine and its international partners had just aligned priority actions for Ukraine's resilience at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, held last week in Rome," reads the statement.
Herman Halushchenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, thanked Luxembourg for the assistance. "Ukraine deeply appreciates this unwavering support. Every contribution is a step towards strengthening the energy security of not only our country but the whole of Europe. The funds will be directed towards vital emergency repairs of our critical infrastructure, which continues to suffer daily damage as a result of Russia’s strikes,” the minister stated.
Since its launch in April 2022, the Fund has mobilised over 1.16 billion euros from more than 33 donors, enabling the signing of over 790 supply contracts and commitments worth 669 million euros.
