Lithuania to spend 30M euros on NATO infrastructure construction

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has allocated more than 30 million euros to develop infrastructure for the reception, concentration and further transfer of allied military units at the Kazlu Ruda training ground, Report informs referring to the press service of the ministry.
"The investments are aimed at the construction and modernization of camps, logistics facilities, engineering and military infrastructure. This will ensure the necessary support from the host country for NATO allied military units," reads the statement.
The ministry added that by 2030, Lithuania plans to spend more than 2.5 billion euros on the infrastructure of the NATO host country. The facilities will be used during exercises, the movement of allies through the territory of the republic, as well as in the event of a military conflict or crisis.
