Lithuania has sent a note of protest to Belarus regarding statements by Belarusian officials that contained threats against Vilnius, Report informs with reference to the Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Ministry.
A representative of the Belarusian Embassy in Lithuania was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented with a note of protest, the ministry said.
The note was caused by statements of First Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Pavel
“These statements can be understood as open threats to attack Lithuania, which is completely unacceptable,” noted the Lithuanian ministry.
