Japanese fighter jet crashes during training exercise

A Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighter jet has crashed off the coast of Ibaraki Prefecture in eastern Japan during a training exercise.
According to Report, citing Japan’s public broadcaster NHK, the aircraft had one pilot on board, who successfully ejected before the crash.
Rescue teams quickly located the pilot, who has been hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.
The jet was conducting a routine training flight. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
