Japan has refused to supply anti-tank missiles and other lethal weapons to Ukraine, Report informs via Kyodo News.
The Japanese Government justified the decision citing its legislation. Instead, Japan has decided to provide nonlethal items, including tents, winter clothing, emergency food items, hygiene products, cameras and power generators.
The provision of such non-lethal items comes at the request of Ukraine and falls within the scope of Japan's war-renouncing Constitution, the country's top government spokesman Hirokazu Matsuno said.
Ukraine appealed to Japan in late February.
