Italy summons Russian envoy over publication on Russophobia

Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister, Antonio Tajani, summoned the Russian Ambassador to Rome, Alexey Paramonov, Report informs via TASS.
The Italian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the summons was related to "the inclusion of President Sergio Mattarella and other officials of the Italian Republic on a list of alleged 'Russophobes.'"
"Minister Tajani considers the inclusion of the Head of State in this list a provocation against the country and the Italian people and expresses both institutional and personal solidarity with President Mattarella," the statement reads.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had published a compilation on its website featuring examples of "hate speech" toward Russia and Russophobic remarks made by politicians and public figures from foreign countries.
