Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to strike civilian targets in Tehran in retaliation for Iranian military attacks on residential areas in Israeli cities.
Report informs via Israeli media that since June 13, strikes on civilian infrastructure in Israel have killed at least 21 people and injured more than 100.
"The residents of Tehran will pay for this — and very soon," Katz stated.
Israeli media emphasize that this marks the first time a political figure in Israel has made such direct threats in an attempt to make Iranian civilians leave their homes, thereby creating the leverage of pressure on the Iranian authorities.
