Israel is willing to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of more Israeli hostages held by militants in the enclave, according to Report, which cites TASS.
"We do not rule out extending the temporary ceasefire in exchange for the release of more hostages," Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said during a meeting in Brussels with the foreign ministers of Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, Slovakia, and Hungary.
"Without the release of the hostages, this will not happen. We are committed to bringing our hostages home and achieving our war objectives in Gaza," he added, as quoted by the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s press service.
