Iranian FM: Afghan people need urgent humanitarian aid

Iran has called on the international community to unblock Afghanistan's financial assets, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian during the extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Pakistan on the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, Report reports.

According to Amirabdullahian, the Afghan people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance:

"Establishing a monetary fund for Muslim countries is necessary to achieve this goal. Islamic states must stimulate the ruling system and all political forces in Afghanistan to form an inclusive government."
