Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, has announced that a second round of peace talks addressing the conflict in Ukraine could potentially take place before the end of this year. According to Report, Szijjártó emphasized the importance of Russian representation at these negotiations.

"As far as we understand, efforts are being made to hold the next round of the peace conference as early as this year, which we would certainly welcome and appreciate," Szijjártó stated. He added, "If we want to hope for the success of any future peace conference, we must ensure that both sides are represented."

The statement comes in the wake of the initial Ukraine conference held in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, on June 15-16, which notably took place without Russian participation.
