Hot lava descends from Klyuchevskoy volcano

Hot lava is descending down the western slope during the eruption of Klyuchevskoy volcano on Kamchatka, Report informs via Russian media.
"Preliminary information: Hot lava is descending down the western slope. There is intense glow over the volcano, explosions," the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences said in a statement.
The eruption of the volcano followed a major earthquake in the region.
On Wednesday, Kamchatka experienced its strongest earthquake since 1952, with a magnitude of 8.7. A tsunami warning has been issued, and residents are being urged to stay away from coastal areas in danger zones.
