Global airlines have suspended flights to Tel Aviv due to the ongoing threat of missile attacks from Yemen’s Houthi rebel group, Ansar Allah.
According to Report, citing Reuters, Canadian airline Air Canada has postponed flights until September 8, although it had initially planned to resume service on June 8. India’s Air India has suspended flights until June 19, and Poland’s LOT until June 15.
British Airways will not operate flights until June 14, while another IAG group company, Iberia Express, has canceled flights until the end of the month. Lufthansa plans to return to Israeli airspace on June 23, the same date flights are expected to resume by Italy’s ITA Airways. Leading European low-cost carrier Ryanair has canceled flights until July 31.
Meanwhile, Latvia’s airBaltic resumed regular flights between Riga and Tel Aviv on June 6.
