Germany intends to purchase 8,300 drone systems by 2029.
According to Report, citing Bloomberg and the German Ministry of Defense, the country’s armed forces plan to acquire unmanned aerial system (UAS) units, each of which may include several drones as well as equipment such as launchers and aircraft control systems, by 2029.
The plan involves purchasing around 5,700 unmanned aerial complexes with mini-drones, 560 interceptor and counter-drone systems, and 2,070 kamikaze drones.
In addition, Germany plans to procure drones with a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
