Germany and France propose new EU sanctions against Iran

Germany and France have initiated new sanctions against Iran in connection with the brutal crackdown on women's protests, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said at a press conference in Berlin on Friday.

Report informs that she said the Iranian ambassador in Berlin had already been summoned twice in connection with this situation.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei accused the US and Israeli authorities of organizing mass riots in the country, which erupted following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was detained because of 'improperly worn hijab'.
