German ambassador, EU diplomats leave Haiti

Germany's ambassador to Haiti has left the country for the neighboring Dominican Republic due to a "very tense security situation," the German Foreign Ministry said, Report informs via dpa news.
Members of the EU delegation also traveled to the neighboring Dominican Republic together with the German diplomat. “They will work from there for now,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
Earlier it was reported that certain criminal gangs plan to remove the government of Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry. Haitian authorities have decided to extend the state of emergency in the capital, Port-au-Prince, for a month due to a confrontation between armed gangs and law enforcement officers.
