French leader may hold talks with Biden after his Russia visit

The US administration hopes that French President Emmanuel Macron will have new contacts with US President Joe Biden after his visit to Russia, White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said at a news briefing, commenting on Macron's talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Report informs.
Asked if Washington hoped for a new contact between Biden and Macron after the French leader's visit to Moscow, Psaki said, "Of course, we expect that."
French government spokesperson Gabriel Attal said Macron's visit to Moscow on February 7 and then to Kyiv on February 8 would be a continuation of Paris's efforts to de-escalate the situation around Ukraine.
