Foreign ministers and representatives of about 30 countries, as well as CIS, SCO and CSTO bodies will attend the high-level international conference on Eurasian security, which will be held in Minsk on October 26-27, Belarus Foreign Minister Sergey Aleynik said, Report informs via TASS.
“We expect a fairly large number of foreign guests. About 120 foreign participants from 30 countries of Eurasia confirmed their participation. We expect the participation of many international organizations: the Commonwealth of Independent States, SCO, and CSTO. And during the high-level segment, we expect the participation of a number of my colleagues - ministers, deputy ministers [of foreign affairs] from the greater Eurasian region,” Aleynik told reporters.
The high-level international conference "Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World" will be held in Minsk on October 26-27. According to the Belarusian Foreign Minister, during the event, representatives of a wide range of countries and international organizations will discuss ways out of the current global and regional security crisis and outline the promising contours of security on the Eurasian region.
“In the current geopolitical conditions, organizing such a forum requires significant effort, and establishing such a discussion is not easy, since the polarization of views and approaches in greater Eurasia, and indeed the world as a whole, on security issues has perhaps reached its maximum over the past 50 years. And in these conditions, we need to continue the dialogue on security issues,” Aleynik noted.
