European Union announces €7.4B package of aid for Egypt

The European Union (EU) has agreed to provide a €7.4 billion aid package to Egypt and signed a joint declaration with that country to raise the level of partnership to a strategic level, the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, said at a joint press conference on the results of the Europe-Egypt summit held in Cairo, Report informs.
"Today, we signed an agreement with the EU on an aid package to Egypt worth $7.4 billion, as well as a joint declaration that raises the level of our partnership to a strategic level," the president added.
