EU: Moscow cannot be a mediator between Israel and Iran

The European Union does not consider Russia capable of acting as a neutral mediator in the Israel–Iran conflict, due to its close ties with Tehran, Anwar al-Anouni, spokesperson for EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, said at a briefing on Monday, Report informs via Interfax.
"Let’s be clear: Russia does not deserve any trust. (...) Russia cannot be an impartial mediator," he said in response to a question about the EU's position on Russia potentially mediating in the Israeli-Iranian conflict.
