EU foreign ministers may agree on the 11th package of sanctions against Russia on May 22, as part of the next meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, Report informs referring to foreign media.
At the same time, it is noted that the timing of finalization and, possibly, adjustment of new sanctions is still unclear, since this requires the unanimity of all EU member states.
Earlier it was reported that sanctions are planned against more than 35 companies from Iran, China, the UAE, as well as Armenia and Uzbekistan due to the fact that they allegedly support the military-industrial complex of Russia.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the new package of sanctions will focus on counteracting circumvention of existing restrictions.
