Erdogan plans to meet with Putin in Astana

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming days on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said, Report informs.
He noted that he conveyed Erdogan’s message to Putin regarding the settlement in Ukraine.
“Türkiye expects Putin to visit the republic; the leaders may discuss this topic at the meeting,” the minister added.
Later, the possibility of a meeting was confirmed in the Kremlin. Spokesperson for the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, said that such a possibility is being considered.
