EC head: Deeply saddened by news of terrible disaster in US

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has expressed condolences over the plane crash in the US capital, Report informs.

"Deeply saddened to hear the news of the terrible crash between an airplane and a helicopter in Washington DC. Europe stands with the families of the victims in this difficult moment - and with the American people as a whole. Our hearts and thoughts are with you," she wrote on X.
