Decisions of Uzbek CEC can be appealed to Supreme Court within 5 days

Decisions of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan can be appealed to the Supreme Court within five days from the date of their adoption.

According to Report’s correspondent sent to Tashkent, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhojayev made the remark at a press conference for international observers and media representatives on the preparation and holding of early presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on July 9.

“Political parties that nominated candidates, trusted persons, observers and voters can appeal the decisions of election commissions to district and regional courts within five days after the decision is made,” he said.

The head of the CEC added that on July 9 at 20:00 (local time) Uzbekistan will announce the end of voting and start counting votes.
