Construction cost of Akkuyu NPP in Türkiye revealed

The construction of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Türkiye costs $24-$25 billion, Director General of ROSATOM Alexey Likhachev told Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting of the Science Council, Report informs via Russian media.
The launch of Akkuyu NPP is included in Türkiye's strategic development plan until 2028.
Akkuyu is the first nuclear power plant under construction in Türkiye. The project is implemented on the basis of the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation signed between the Russian Federation and Türkiye on May 12, 2010.
